After wrapping up a wild and wonderful Momentom Season, I’ve had some time to get back to reading and finished Mark Manson ‘s 'Everything is F*cked - A Book About Hope' (his follow up to his international Best Seller ‘The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck’ ) and wanted to share my takeaways and nuggets of philosophy to give you something to think about this week. Recap at Envision Festival 2023!
Just. Wow.
Yes, what a wild ride and end to our 4 month Momentom Collective season: being onsite in the jungle at Envision Festival (Think Burning Man in the Jungle) for 10 days managing a 100 person Theme Camp, hosting the first El Circo Stage, curating 20 workshops, 10 DJ sets, artist roving, big prayerformance on Luna Stage and running the official 5 Day Decompression… Talk about juggling! The interesting thing is that it’s really just a continuation of what our crew has already been doing but different setting. Proof that when you live and practice your art, in community and continuously expand your potential - you see the results like our team stepping up to shine on world class stages and spaces like at Envision - ranked the top Transformational Festival in the World. I am SO proud of our team and everyone that continues to be called to our project and others that use art and community as a catalyst for change and empower others to find their own way to merge introspection and self expression. Co-creation is a potent medicine - or as was mentioned in Residency, using artistic community to facilitate co-living in co-liberation
“Her compassion is love expanding Dilating dimensions Revealing herself through you.” It was a true honor to co-create and narrate this epic Prayerformance for the infamous Luna Stage at Envision . It was very close to not happening at all. With our team already taking on a massive theme camp, new stage curation and week of teaching classes, roving and performances, we thought it might have been too much. So we agreed it would be to highlight our bigger intentions of a highline overtop the crowd at Luna - which ended up being canceled by the festival last minute due to security risks.
So we had to pivot hard and recreate a show while closing our 3 month Residency season with our team across Central America and starting the travels south to Costa Rica. A huge thank you to the entire crew that helped put their passion into this unique main stage set - the first time not having electronic music backing a performance on Luna - and showcasing the power of collective intention to hold a prayer and weave a story of the sacred feminine amidst a jungle rave on opening night! ***Click below for a hypercut of the show! Whichever way you view hope, I hope (ha!) that you can anchor it into the present with gratitude for the many ways we can show up in the creative spirit of being human!
